రక్తదాన సేవల్లో విశేష కృషి చేస్తూ, అత్యవసర పరిస్థితుల్లో ఎంతోమంది ప్రాణాలను కాపాడేందుకు సేవలందిస్తున్న కామారెడ్డి జిల్లా కేంద్రానికి చెందిన డాక్టర్ బాలుకు ప్రతిష్ఠాత్మక ‘వాసవి నవరత్న అవార్డు’ లభించింది. ప్రముఖ సామాజిక సేవకులు గంజి రాజమౌళి గుప్త చేతుల మీదుగా ఈ అవార్డును డాక్టర్ బాలుకు అందజేశారు. Dr. Balu from Kamareddy district headquarters, who has been doing exceptional work in blood donation services and saving many lives in emergency situations, has been honored with the prestigious ‘Vasavi Navaratna Award’. The award was presented to Dr. Balu by renowned social worker Ganji Rajamouli Guptha.

డాక్టర్ బాలు 2007 సంవత్సరం నుంచి నిరంతరంగా రక్తదాన కార్యక్రమాలు నిర్వహిస్తూ రక్తదాన సేవలను ఒక ఉద్యమంగా కొనసాగిస్తున్నారు. ఇప్పటివరకు ఆయన స్వయంగా 84 సార్లు రక్తదానం చేయడంతో పాటు, ముఖ్యంగా తలసేమియా బాధిత చిన్నారుల కోసం సుమారు 6,000 యూనిట్ల రక్తాన్ని అందించడంలో కీలక పాత్ర పోషించారు. అంతేకాకుండా ఇప్పటివరకు 25 వేల యూనిట్లకు పైగా రక్తాన్ని సేకరించి, అత్యవసర పరిస్థితుల్లో ఉన్న బాధితులకు సకాలంలో రక్తం అందేలా కృషి చేశారు. Dr. Balu has been continuously organizing blood donation programs since 2007, carrying forward blood donation services as a movement. So far, he has personally donated blood 84 times and played a key role in providing approximately 6,000 units of blood for thalassemia-affected children. Additionally, he has collected over 25,000 units of blood, ensuring timely availability for patients in emergency situations.

The award was presented to Dr. Balu by social worker Ganji Rajamouli Guptha.

కరోనా మహమ్మారి సమయంలోనూ రక్తదాన సేవలను విస్తృతంగా కొనసాగించినట్లు తెలిపారు. ఆ సమయంలో సుమారు 100 యూనిట్ల ప్లాస్మా, 1,000 యూనిట్ల రక్తాన్ని సేకరించి అవసరమైన వారికి అందించేందుకు కృషి చేసినట్లు వివరించారు. He stated that blood donation services were extensively continued even during the COVID-19 pandemic. During that time, approximately 100 units of plasma and 1,000 units of blood were collected and efforts were made to provide them to those in need.

తలసేమియా బాధిత చిన్నారులకు తరచుగా రక్తం అవసరమవుతుందని డాక్టర్ బాలు తెలిపారు. కొంతమంది బాధితులకు సుమారు ప్రతి 15 రోజులకు ఒక యూనిట్ రక్తం అవసరమయ్యే పరిస్థితి ఉంటుందని పేర్కొన్నారు. ఇలాంటి చిన్నారులకు దీర్ఘకాలంగా రక్తం అవసరమయ్యే నేపథ్యంలో నిరంతర రక్తదాన శిబిరాలు నిర్వహించడం ఎంతో ముఖ్యమని అన్నారు. Dr. Balu explained that thalassemia-affected children frequently need blood. Some patients require one unit of blood every 15 days. He emphasized that organizing continuous blood donation camps is crucial for these children who need blood for extended periods.

రక్తానికి ప్రత్యామ్నాయం లేదని, అత్యవసర సమయంలో రక్తదాతలు ముందుకు వచ్చి రక్తదానం చేయడం ద్వారా ఎంతోమంది ప్రాణాలను కాపాడవచ్చని పేర్కొన్నారు. He stated that there is no substitute for blood, and during emergencies, blood donors coming forward to donate can save many lives.

భవిష్యత్తులో రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా మరిన్ని రక్తదాన శిబిరాలను నిర్వహించి, అత్యవసర సమయాల్లో రక్తం అందుబాటులో ఉండేలా కృషి చేస్తామని డాక్టర్ బాలు తెలిపారు. యువతతో పాటు ఆరోగ్యంగా ఉన్న ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ స్వచ్ఛంద రక్తదానానికి ముందుకు రావాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు. Dr. Balu stated that in the future, efforts will be made to organize more blood donation camps across the state, ensuring blood availability during emergencies. He called upon the youth and every healthy person to come forward for voluntary blood donation.
